Interview Tip

He's been in Customer Success leadership for over a decade, played football at LSU and knew Pandora before it was cool. Gary V (no, the other one) has three pieces of advice for candidates out there right now. Let's hear what he asks and looks for in interviews.

1. Read the JD, no really, take the time to read and understand it
--> I'm hiring for SF hybrid roles, people in Boston applied, don't waste your/my time
--> Connect bullet points in the job description to previous experience you have, tell a story
--> If the job description says you'll work with certain levels of people/industries, include it in your answer

2. When I ask why you want to work here (Zeni), do your research and come prepared
--> I want to hear the research you did, tell me what you know about the space
--> Match that with the why
--> Reading from Crunchbase is easy, tell me three lines from our product page, etc.

3. How you carry yourself in the interview shows how you work w/clients
--> You can't take 8 minutes to answer 1 question
--> Come with questions prepared
--> Put you camera on, show up on time, come with some energy
