Different job market = Different strategy
 
If you’re looking for and applying to the same job title you’ve had for the past X years, you're not sticking out.

Here’s a 4 step process to help you land a job faster.

1. Find your unique value then find companies that identify with it
- Experience w/the kind of product you worked for
- Experience w/the industry you worked in
- Experience w/the kind of ppl you worked with
- Experience w/the kind of products you’ve used
- Actions you took in your role

2. Create a company target list
- Competitors from the past
- Partner companies (or channel sales)
- Industries you worked in
- Technology you used
- Type of customers/users you had
- Use G2, Capterra, or Google to find these

3. Set up a job alert for these companies on LinkedIn
- Make sure you set it to 24 hours
- ALWAYS make sure you include the “in your network” filter

4. Network with the reps/leadership at the company
- Get an intro to them
- Send an email/inmail (make it short)
- Send a loom video
- Plant the seed for the future if anything
